Nick applied the undercoat to the some areas of the hull & the prop & then set about applying the first coat of blue antifoul. This is a hard task as it is mostly overhead work, wielding a paint roller, and takes some hours.
Jane came to visit & it was lovely to see her (even if it reminded me of work) & meet Mark & Tim. Six degrees of separation at work as we discovered that Mark & Steve are workmates in the harbour or were until Steve retired just the day before.
Wonderful Anne & Ian called by & delivered a sweet potato cake & batch of delicious biscuits, baked by Anne. A delicious surprise made even better because the cake had icing!!!
Nick needed a very long, hot shower as he now had blue paint in all sorts of places, despite wearing the protective overalls. Also feeling stiff & sore.
