I've been telling her for years she's a tasty bird!

As we were walking back along the beach, a dog decided to taste my calf & did a good job of sinking three teeth in to my flesh. I was mortified & panicked & knew that I needed treatment. Rabies is a big concern here with Thailand being third in death rate from dog bite & I did not want my name added to the stats.
With that, we had to abandon our stay on the island & motored quickly the 22nms to anchorage at Hole-in- the Wall on Langkawi. From there, we caught a taxi to the Langkawi Hospital. Helane ‘Velella’ had done all the spade work for me & the hospital knew we were coming. On arrival, I was taken straight in & given the first anti-viral injection with four more to follow over 30 days, while swallowing 60 giant anti-biotics.
Had a lovely meal at a little eatery near the hospital. Taxi back to H-i-t-W & a windy, dark ride back up the river home. As we were getting back on board, a spotlight focussed on us & we heard ‘Ahoy Jepeda’. What a surprise to find that Judy & Geoff, ‘Lady Jane’ had come in. Had a long catch up session aboard with them.
