George Town

11 February 2011
February 11, 2011

We have returned from the Jumnento and Ragged Islands back to Thompson Bay, Long Island. It

was a non sailing event, but the going was great so we decided not to stop at Water Cay and

continue all the way to Thompson Bay. We arrived at 8:30 at night but the anchorage is huge

and we know the holding is great. We stayed in Thompson Bay for a few days to catch up on

laundry, groceries etc. We travelled with Sapphire and Sam the Skull. Sapphire and Night

Hawk decided to travel 20 miles up to Hogg Cay and stay a few days. Sam the Skull decided to

continue to George Town. We stayed in Hogg Cay/Joe Sound for two days and hunted the corals

then took the boats up to the North End of Long Island to do some deep sea fishing on the

way to George Town. We had no luck but Sapphire got one Skip Jack Tuna which they shared

with us. We arrived in George Town in the afternoon - nothing eventful.
In George Town we met up with Bruce and Val Marshall from Nova Scotia. We have known them

for 20+ years and have not seen them for at least seven years. It was great to catch up.

Their daughter Kirsty arrived and they have left for the Abbacos.
We are seeing so many cruisers that we have not seen since last year and it is great.
We had dinner on Sea Sharp the other night and are joining Glory Days this evening.
Volley Ball Beach and Chat and Chill are still the same as always.
We will be stuck here for a week or so as there is a front coming in tomorrow but we can

still get off the boat and go to the beaches for nice walks and swims.
They are having a Valentines dance on Monday night and lots of local restaurants are having

dinner specials, we don't know what we are going to do yet.
It seems we have less and less to say as its the same year after year.
We are in a great little deli that is new this year and has great internet and our lunch has arrived - must go.
