A weekend of waiting, but if you can wait in Paradise who cares

Paperwork delays mean that it will be Monday or Tuesday before we officially take over Paradox. So we are sailing the Residence INN for now. I have to say that is not too bad. Yesterday at 5 we ate some wonderful Sicilian Ice Cream with homemade carmel and pecans on top on the porch of an 18th century house. The weather was perfect. Not at all like Texas in July. It is hot in the sun here and cool in the shade. No wonder this was the first place in America that had a colony established. It did fail but it was older than Jamestown by 2 years.
We have the pool and the beach. I would prefer to get to the beach by Dinghy and wash the sand off using Paradox's shower on the swim ladder but there are thousands of people here with us just for the beach the old fashioned way so I can be happy with that.
We have transitioned Paradox's birth into our name and it is a sweet location until we have provisioned her for the trip ahead. We are directly across the channel from a Restaurant and Bar that has live music nightly and good beach to pull the dinghy up to. We are walking distance to the more famous downtown restaurants like Dharma Blue. We are already meeting our neighbors.
I am debating whether I should make a dash south to get out of hurricane country or round the tip of florida and up the coast of the U. S.
