Thinking about where to go from here

Terry/Raining and not too hot
We are getting close to getting Paradox shook down and have to think of where we go from here. We have an impressive low off of the coast of Africa and people around here are advising us to stay put till October 31st. I am not sure what benefit we get from that. Pensacola has hurricanes too. More importantly, on this coast of Florida there is no place to run. Safety exists both north of the Chesapeake Bay and South of 10 degrees north or just about from Costa Rica South. To head north you have to make it around the tip of Florida first. From Key West if a Hurricane is in the Gulf you can run up the Atlantic Coast, or break for the Gulf. That only leaves storms that can cross Florida from the Atlantic and continue to the Gulf. Those are rare.
We could go to the Keys and island hop our way down to Grenada when a weather window opens up, or if the Gulf heats up we can head up the eastern seaboard. Paradox is not much of a Key West boat. Our draft is 6'6'' and we are 64 feet tall. The keys have low bridges and shallow water. I have a week or two to ponder this one.
