A promise of lighter winds
04 February 2013 | Volley Ball Beach, George Town
February 3rd and 4th - Sunday started out to be quite calm, but as predicted the winds picked up in the afternoon. We had made a run to town in the morning before the winds, the trip back was very wet - we had to rinse the salt out of all our clothes and hang them out to dry! We had a lazy afternoon aboard the boat and at dinner time headed in to St. Francis Resort for their Super Bowl Party. There was a huge crowd and they had several TVs set up and served wings and tacos along with drinks during the game. It was lots of fun, but when the lights went out at the stadium, we headed back to our boat, missing the last half - and we're told it was a great finish!
Monday morning Ron made a run across to get propane since we are planning to leave tomorrow. When he returned we had a beer and I was very brave...or crazy and let him cut my hair! It hasn't been cut since Mobile, Alabama in early November. It actually turned out o.k. and hey...it will grow!
Henning, Joanne and Erik (Flying Free) arrived today. They are anchored at Sand Dollar Beach. We made one more trip to the beach for a basket weaving lesson - this is likely my last chance before we leave! Yvonne on Options III (from Midland)has been my instructor.
Change of plans! Since Flying Free has arrived and there is a dance at Chat n' Chill tomorrow night it looks like we'll stay one more day...can't miss a party!
