Moving South
11 September 2013 | Echo Bay
Tuesday, September 10th - This morning it seems that the wind has died some, but now there is fog. About 11 am we decided to take a run out the river to see what we had on the lake. We had about a half mile visibility so we could just see from one marker to the next so we decided to head for Pointe Au Baril. Over the afternoon the sun came out and it became very warm. We anchored in Hopewell Bay, a spot we've stayed in before and really like. It was warm enough that before dinner we both had a swim.
Wednesday morning we made our way to Echo Bay, just past Parry Sound and anchored along with one other boat in the bay. Again the day started out cloudy but it was sunny and warm in the afternoon and we both had another swim. You never know when it might be the last! Ron took the dinghy to Frying Pan Bay for a few supplies - if the weather stays this nice we may stay out a few more days.
