Taking a Break
14 November 2014 | St. Augustine
We arrived in St. Augustine on November 11th and plan to stay until Saturday and just take it easy after 2 1/2 months of steady moving south. We have caught up with people we met in 2012/13 - Bob and Donnell on Grand Cru and Bob and Marilyn on Peaceful, Easy Feeling. They are both also on their way to the Bahamas.
Ron and I had a great dinner out one night, last night we attended a Cruiser's Net Party and tonight we are going to a lobster dinner at the American Legion with the two other couples. We aren't usually nearly this social!
Weather has been up and down. Yesterday it was 28 degrees; today it is just 20 but sunny. A cold front is to arrive today with strong north winds so we've moved to a more protected mooring.
On Sunday we will start to make our way to Titusville. We will spend a week cleaning and getting the boat back in shape then we'll leave the boat there while we fly home for two weeks. We're looking forward to seeing everyone! Sure hope it warms up some before we get there!
Notice the bananas hanging on the tree beside Ron!
