Senior's Daycare
07 February 2015 | Georgetown, Exuma
Still in Georgetown and enjoying all the organized events on the beach. Since my last post, we have attended an ARG Meeting (Alcohol Research Group) - another excuse for a happy hour, we took in an island tour to see the historic sites and lunch at a beach bar, volleyball and basketmaking. You could be busy all day with beach yoga, dominoes, bridge and baseball. In the evenings are trivia contests, poker and a dance night at Chat n' Chill.
Weather, although very warm has been very windy. The trip to town, a mile across the harbour is usually wet at least one way depending on the wind, waves and tide. We seem to be having a cold front almost every second or third day, which means we've been unable to get out to some of the other islands. These last few days we have had heavy winds to 30-35 knots. We're so glad we bought the Rocna anchor and 100 feet of chain!
We have re-acquainted with several folks we met two years ago and have met many new people. There are so many Canadians here - many from Quebec. There are people from all over the world travelling through the Bahamas.
