Jacksonville Landing
03 May 2015 | Jacksonville, Florida
We were up and out early enough that we didn't touch bottom on our way back to the St. john's River. We backtracked to Jacksonville and this morning there is space on the free docks so we tied up right in front of Hooters. Jacksonville Landing is a collection of waterfront shops and restaurants - very nice! There also happened to be a festival on for the weekend and we spent a nice afternoon wandering through all the booths and drinking frozen Margerita's and beer on the street. Jacksonville is the largest city in Florida - a surprise to us! Its' population is almost 900,000 - twice the size of Miami.
Brian and Yvonne joined us here later in the morning and we had dinner together at Hooters that evening - and it was good!
