Bedouin Reunion
07 December 2015
We played many games of boules, both in Spain and Portugal. Dick had kindly given us the latest team shirts from our old club, the Bedouins. Ed and I now play with the local crowd of ex-pats on this pitch each week and that too is good fun, culminating in a few beers afterwards.
After our Bedouin match in Portugal we were invited to an early evening drink to taste the new local Portuguese wine with roasted chestnuts. It was possibly the most disgusting wine ever drunk! Later we dined out on the local wild hare and wild boar casseroles that the Portuguese do so well. We drank a much better bottle of local red.
We had a great time with Tim and Dick, inevitably lots of banter and laughs. Hope they come again soon.
