Covered 135nm with a great days sailing, but the wind suddenly veered to the North and brought with it a F8 storm with lightning a plenty!! So much so, Andy wrapped the handheld GPS in foil and put it in the oven. No.. he hasn't gone completely around the bend, it's a makeshift way of making a Faraday box, which will protect an electrical device from a large voltage spike!
With the storm jib keeping Ocean One on an even keel, the storm abated at 4am. The wind has now dropped right off, and with the engine on,Andy can finally get some well earned rest.
