Fishing attempt successful!

Cleo bought some local masks and I sent the video camera for warranty service.
Chris and I attempted to change the oil filter on the new diesel. It is the oil filter that came with the motor and has been put on far too tight and has been painted to the motor. After a broken filter spanner, several dents in the filter and Gardner breaking the oil pressure sender it was determined that the best course of action is to leave it on until we get to a place where we can afford to be immobilized for a few days in the event that it all goes pear shaped.
Gardner's macbook took a wave of salt water. ugh.

It took Gardner all afternoon to print a report and visit DHL to not even send the Sanyo video camera in for warranty repair. Patience is a virtue here in PNG.

Thursday, September 3, 2009
Chris finished the Karkar MPA report.
Cleo & Alison went for a dive in Madang.
Chris and Gardner went to talk to the police regarding Danny's demand for anchorage fees. All was resolved and Danny was sent back to Karkar with his tail between his legs!
