Chalk Cliffs

Jean, Mom and Stevie are in front of some really neat chalk cliffs found on the grounds of Hitchcock woods. They are an anomaly to the area and may have been the result of the receding glaciers after the last ice age. We had a great afternoon walking in the autumn leaves despite the very cold weather. It was not cold enough to keep the kids out of a stream though. They discovered quick sand and played in the knee-deep mud for nearly half an hour. We are looking forward to exploring more of these woods when we return.
