Brett and Theresa on Catamaran Seismic Wave rocked up on our last day on Isle of Pines so we had drinks on OOROO and next morning we pulled up anchor and headed to Baie De Prony.
We had a very cruisey sail and spent the next days checking out different anchorages and doing some hiking.
The colours of this side of the island overlooking the bay are stunning and very similar to that of our Kimberley Coast in Western Australia.
Mining is New Caledonia’s main source of income with very rich mineral deposits including nickel, cobalt, iron, chrome, manganese, mercury, lead, silver and gold.
