Macgyver and the Thunder Storm

Thunder, Lightning, RAIN
Roughly twelve hours (longer than I thought it would take him) is the time it took Keith to decide to bypass the manifold to prevent any further water leak! First thing this morning (Wednesday), we dug out the plumbing container and an assortment of hoses and in less than an hour he macgyvered a bypass - whew! We'll just use the aft tank for now but it will actually connect to our larger front tank if needed.
Anchoring at Benures was on our list of places to go after talking with a cruising couple at Sopers Hole a few weeks ago. About a mile out, we could see the squall line approaching so we ducked into Soldier Bay and hooked a mooring to wait it out. Our intention was to spend our last two days at Benures before clearing out of BVI. After 30 minutes or so with increasing fetch and another line approaching, we opted to scoot around into The Bight and try again tomorrow (Thursday).
Around 3 am, the thunder, lightning, and torrential rain began and continued until morning - quite a show! By daylight, the rain to eased up. We underestimated the amount of rain we would get during the night and left the dinghy in the water which essential became a very full bathtub - should have taken a picture of that. Furthermore, the two leaking hatches we thought were fixed are not. Guess it's better we found out now so we can try again as oppose to coming back in November to a mess.
