The Chasm

Caitlins blog:

Four more days left, today we had lots of fun. We decided to stay one more night in the Sawa-i-Lau caves aka the limestone caves that Brooke Shields was in, in blue lagoon. It's amazing at this spot, there is a lot to discover. Many different Islands and a beautiful coral reef right off the back of the boat. Today we took the dingy over to the caves, once we got through the first cave Abby and I had to carry Hanna all the way through the second cave and back. Once we got back to the swimming hole Abby and I let go of Hanna and decided to jump off the cave walls. I went up this steep wall which was pretty difficult to get up and jumped off. After being forced out of the cave we went down to the little market with home made braclets and more from the village. All three of us girls got sulus, which all where very pretty.

When we got back from the caves Abby and I went on an adventure to all the other islands while Hanna and Lisa kayaked all around. Abby and I first went to this far away island with four big rocks and patches of sand. It was pretty far out into sea so some big waves where crashing against the rocks, we decided to go back to the little cove behind the boat. We turned into this little beach area, we were in search of a rock to jump off of so I was checking the depth, finally Abby got in and she saw a long thick black white and bright orange snake and almost pooped her pants. We got out of the water fast and dingied it back over to the beach and explored a little more. There was this one little beach with tons of crabs with beautiful shells. We climbed all the way to the top of these sharp rocks, just for the gorgeous view.

For dinner we feasted on delicious lobster from the village. We traded with them in the early morning. Tommorrow morning we're off to swim with the mantarays.

Miss and love you guys lots and see you soon.
