We started early this morning before the wind had a chance to pick up.
First to go up was the main. It took just over 2 hours to reinstall.
Next up was the jib. Done in less than an hour.
John reminds me of an older version of Tom Sawyer. All the guys gather round and want to see what he's up to - then after he reels them in, before ya know it - they're doing all the work!
Actually, the young Fijian guys here on the dock are learning a ton from John. He gets them involved with lots of hands on work, and they crowd around to watch everything he does. This is a pretty typical scene on the dock these days as we get Orcinius ready for another cruising season.
This afternoon is being spent prepping to un-install the old generator, and in with the new tomorrow. It's going to be a long day tomorrow! We are also getting drastically low on beer, so we will probably make a run into town for a case of beer later today. It's very expensive at the little store here, so we avoid buying it here if we can.
All for now,
Lisa
