Pie Ala Creame'

What a day. Started off changing all the parts on the port engine. Those that

we salvaged from the wreck at Christmas. So it is mostly working but I still

cannot get full power. I think I know the solution so I sent the crew forward

to retrieve a gasket washer from the extracted fuel injector pump. Engine is

too hot to change at the moment so will fire up the starboard engine at 0400

and shut down the port to let it cool. First thing in the AM after all are

awake from the nights duties we will attack it for the final time.

After we got the engine work done, all layed around until lunch and after lunch

I attacked a batch of bread and a baking lesson for Mosese on how to make and

apple pie. While I followed the recipe to the Teeeee.. It was wrong. Last

time I made a pie was last year and it turned out great. Used a little

different recipe, one that called for twice as much water as necessary.

Started out to be a sloppy mess. Momma always told me not to play with pie

dough too long as it makes it tough. Well momma didn't tell me what to do if

the darn pie dough get a little too wet so I just shook some flour over the

mess until is dried out a bit. Now knowing that dough played with too much

becomes very hard, I did my best to let it sit some.... Put it in the refrig

for about an hour before taking it out to roll it for the pie... still too darn

wet... more flour, from Heaven momma is shaking her finger at me.

I came very close to throwing the hole batch of dough overboard but I thought I

really didn't have the time to make a whole new one so I made do... Darned if

it didn't turn out pretty good. Although it wasn't real flackey it was not a

brick and with a little whipped cream topping it was quite good.

so dinner was still a couple hours away and the check in on the net was next.

First off was Charisma who not only checked in with the net but he called for

traffic with Orcinius so we made contact and moved up a couple KHz. After our

chat I had to wait for my turn....second from the last because of the stop at

Christmas.

Dinner was a concoction devised by Mosese.. A sort of Fiji version of Chop Sue.

It was great and because we were scheduled to have a desert there was a little

left over. Dishes time, Malo stepped up, nap time for Lisa and Mosese before

they start their watch at local 7pm and that leave me here to do the blog.

Hope you enjoyed it and that is all for the day.....

Looking to make land fall next Monday or Tuesday if the seas and wind

cooprerate, in Honolulu.

All for now.
