Transition Period!
17 October 2010
It's been a busy week here returning to the work force after having some much enjoyed time off. The little adjustment struggles that go along with it this week have been pretty entertaining if you were an outsider looking in! Gone are the lazy morning lie in's letting myself come around to the day, it's still dark when I wake up! Ugh! It's also the alarm going off which scares me half to death, and then flicking the light on immediately so I am alert, forcing myself to take on the day! Suffice it to say, it's been an interesting time on our boat this week!
The mornings are now covered in dew and actually one day this week there was a slight frost on the windshield! The late afternoons are also colder now, and I have replaced summer sheets with our winter fuzzy sheets on the bed. Summer clothes have gone into storage and the more bulkier winter clothes are now beginning to fight for their place in the closet.
Although I will admit that Fall is amazing with it's beautiful changing colours, clear blue skies and starry nights......I'm still a spring & summer lover at heart! At the risk of sounding like I'm complaining, I will celebrate this season tonight by putting on my fleece pj's, sipping on a cup of hot chocolate, while sitting all comfy cozy in front of the fireplace and TV enjoying a movie I've rented!
Darren is away right now enjoying a very successful hunting trip! Woo hoo! We will have plenty of meat in the freezer on his arrival, yet I will be so happy to have him back home again! After all these years, we still miss eachother and I'm glad!
As I embrace the warm and fuzzy things of this season, I wish the same for you! Have a wonderful week ahead!
Love & hugs,
