We now have a working loo and a very happy Terry! :) I can't tell you the relief I felt when the toilet actually pumped properly for the first time since I first boarded Venture (empty of everything but water of course... it's not been used yet and even when it is, I shan't divulge the details. :) ).

After much messing about and checking and double and triple checking that it was not just a once off, the decision was made to finally clean, clean, clean and get rid of the pong'o'poo. After flushing through half a bottle of bleach and water, the smell finally abated and ahhhhhhhh, the sweet, sweet smell of success was all around ... literally.

After I'd cleaned out the bin where the pump was kept and then wiped the bed area free of 'essence de toilette' and general muck and made it all lovely (I'm being ever so poetic here because it was totally gross in reality) , the mattress went back. Oh yes!!!!!!... we had had a win and finally I could get to the lockers and start actually putting our stuff away. I couldn't wait.

After getting to the lockers, the amount of space surprised me. I have put loads of stuff away and there's still room to spare. All it seems to be taking is proper organisation and moving like things with other like things.

We'll be moving more in this afternoon so I'll update later.
