Our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible. Jim fixed the watermaker so we will have plenty of fresh water and won't have to "chase water" upon arrival in faraway ports of call. Nor will we have to chase down a laundromat or service as i can wash our dirty clothes in our extremely earth-friendly hand-cranked washing machine! It works like a charm, quickly and efficiently. With a few modifications it could also be a spin dryer! Best of all, the money I'm saving at the dock goes into our ice cream fund :)
