Crossing the Coral Sea

We left PNG yesterday on a fair 20kt wind, since then the wind has calmed to a very comfortable 15kts and were skipping over the ocean swell in a southerly direction. We cleared the reef coming out of PNG in the early afternoon and the water there was bubbling with fish. We didn't put a line because after polishing off our trading goods in the village were absolutely loaded with food for the journey. Coconuts, bananas, limes, yams and pumpkin galore! Still, were looking forward to some cheese and beer! Nothing much out here except for he occasional tanker or cargo ship and the odd seabird so I'm busy reading treasure island and draping of pirate gold yarr!
Soon we'll be among the reefs down under, just hope the weather stays like this!
