Today we are off to the Tobago Cays marine park, we will be there on my birthday and I cannot think of a better place to be, the only thing missing are the friends back home. Snorkelling is good and the life is quite amazing, the sea floor is littered with live conch which is an indicator of just how many of these creatures are harvested in other areas.
We sit down to a lobster feast for my birthday and quaff a bottle of Châteaux Margaux which I have been saving for such an occasion. I know it is too heavy to go with lobster and was served slightly warmer than desired but was very nice thank you!
The barbecue was hosted by Mandy Man (real name Neil) and was superbly executed; he has got the balance right with efficient though subtle sales and service and I would strongly recommend this experience.
The next day we visited some of the islands for the views and in search of the large lizards which look more like small dragons. Once away from the cooling sea breeze and climbing through undergrowth the heat hits like sledgehammer progress is slow and sweaty.
