Happy Birthday to Ange’s Grandma, Kitty – 93 years young today! Hope you have a wonderful day & it was great to catch up with you on the phone this morning.
We are still killing time before we head up to Las Palmas & enter the marina for our preparations for the ARC. We moved from Puerto de Mogan to Anfi del Mar on Monday for a change of scenery & an excuse to have a sail. Weather predictions have been holding true with winds around Force 6 blowing the last couple of days so we have remained anchored in Anfi del Mar where the protection has been great. Steve & Jeremy did a spot of fishing on Monday afternoon with no luck. We took the tender from ‘Joy of Shamrock Quay’ over to Arguineguin yesterday to have a look at the local markets. It was a great ride with all of us getting a little wet but having fun. This area of the Canaries is full of tourists from Scandinavia – Norway, Sweden, Finland. Most shops have signs in all of these languages as well as in Spanish. Today we are thinking of hiring a car & having a look at more of the island.
