Cleaning the bottom of the boat

You would be surprised at how much growth there is on the bottom of a boat left at anchor for even a short time in Zihuatanejo. Today Dave from SV Taking Flight (friends from Shilshole marina) came over to borrow the hooka and clean his boat bottom. I took my new underwater camera along to record the event.
In particular you will note huge amounts of growth on the boat bottom itself even though the bottom has bottom paint to discourage marine growth. The propeller and shaft are bronze and stainless steel both of which also retard growth of marine organisms. But they grow anyway.
I included a photo of the boat bottom after cleaning and of the "boat cleaner", Dave.
