We are back in Seattle
It feels like home. Of course we are not in Silshole. Maybe we will be, someday, but there is a list and we are on it. In the meantime we are at Bainbridge Island Marina.

The dinghy holds air again
It wasn't very nice of the bear to tear the fabric across a seam. We were worried that we couldn't patch it but tried anyway. The glue had a job to do and it did it!

We were visiting the Anan Bear Observatory south of Wrangell. It is one of the best places to visit in all of SE Alaska BECAUSE it has bears. But (as we learned) there is a dark side to this bear concentration. And of course, there is a story to tell.

An invitation to lunch
This morning on the ssb net we heard Bob from SV Cie La Vie. He is about a day out of Fiji and has made arrangements to get hauled out. We'll breathe easier when this is done. Bob sounded like everything was going well aboard excepting the fact that the winds were only moving him at 2 knots. I'd say that is the least of his problems.
We went snorkeling and of course Rankin (from SV Gypsea Heart) and I hunted lobster. We hunted, but we didn't get any. I'm beginning to believe that lobster are an endangered species and rare as hens teeth. The coral was great though and the currents were manageable. Who can complain about warm clear water with no sharks? ...or sea snakes?
