We stopped in Apalachicola to fuel up and fill our jerry cans. The run to Carrabelle was a motor job because the sound is shallow and there is a narrow channel to follow.
We checked in to C-Quarters Marina right in front of the "famous" porch lined with large comfy rocking chairs. We soon found out the porch is a gathering spot where many fish tales are told.
We really liked Carrabelle. The people are super friendly, the grocery store is right across the street and there is an amazing fish market selling what the boats bring in from the Gulf. I stocked up with large shrimp, lobster tails, smoked mullet, red snapper and two dips, one crab and one salmon. Yum!
Yesterday was spent making chili, tuna macaroni salad,brownies and coffee cake.
Today is the big day! Crossing the Gulf to Tarpon Springs.
We departed Carrabelle at 10:08. This will be an overnight passage with no cell coverage so I won't post until at least tomorrow night.
