Stormy Weather
Nanette
20 April 2009 | Pulau Singa Besar
A terrible night, with one storm cell after another. Each was prefaced by strong gusts of wind coming after each flat calm. The lightening was almost continuous, and the thunder overhead terrified me. Stuart slept through all but the worst of it, unfortunately I did not, I truly hate electrical storms. Our anchorage was hoever well chosen, we were fine.9am saw us moving to another spot only a couple of miles away at Singa Besar. A couple of yachts from our group were here already, ones we had not seen for some months.
The beach looks inviting, empty and pretty, lots of jungle to the water's edge, and monkeys chattering.
It is now the 21st, and another night of strong gusts followed by relative calm. It has been a grey wet day so far, and we have not yet been ashore, DVD's and Scrabble are on the cards so to speak. I must say that all day yesterday was beautiful weather, we must not moan, it is still great.
