Today’s catch tonight’s dinner again

Day 5 on the North Atlantic Ocean, the day started at 05:00 for me with Christos shaking me awake, now I'm not very good when people touch me when I'm asleep 😴 so I almost flew up and punched him, it came as quite a shock but I got over it, but a little while later I had to give him a bit of advice on waking me up. I started my watch/shift and took a walk around the boat checking sails, lines and rigging, I noticed that our red port light was out so made a note to tell the skipper 👨✈️ I also did the watch entries into the boats ⛵️log book 📖. The days are starting to blur into one now because most days are almost the same. At about 08:00 I decided to put the fishing 🎣 line out, then a bit later Robert wanted to put the extra line out, so between us we chose a new lure and hook combination (mainly his choice because I don't have much of a clue when it comes to fishing). Later in the day I noticed that both fishing 🎣 lines were tangled very badly together, so I decided to sort them out, then as I'm doing this the skipper👩✈️ comes to help me out, it's at this time that we noticed that we had a fish 🐟 on the end of one of the tangled lines, so he pulled the fish 🐟 in to the boat. Now I'm not too clever when it comes to fish but I knew that it was a Dorado due to its outstanding colour which was a lovely bright green and blue, they reckon that you should take pictures as quick as possible because they loose their colour very quickly after being taken out of the water 💦, the fish 🐟 was about 40cm long. The skipper👩✈️ dispatched it very quickly and had it cut into steaks even quicker. For our dinner we had dorado and Mexican fried rice 🍚 and it was lush, the fish was beautifully cooked by Sandra, hopefully this is the start of out fishing 🎣 season.
Woken up by the skipper 👩✈️ at 02:30 to tell me that we are now going to change course to the islands 🌴 of Cape Verde and spend Christmas 🎄 there, we are only about 36 hours sailing ⛵️ away, then it's time to explore and swim around for a bit.
