How nice was that

Over the last few days I have had a bit of a sore stumpy, which has had me laid up in some discomfort, but I did manage to hobble around the Barbados ๐ง๐ง national museum it cost ยฃ10 entrance fee, it takes you through its history both geologically and politically and also the marine life, slave trade and sugar plantations, it kept me interested for over an hour until the mosquitos started biting my ankle and lower leg, eventually I had to give up because they just wouldnโt leave me alone ๐ฉ.
Yesterday I received a call from Cecelia my hostess with the Airbnb asking if I would like to come for Sunday lunch ๐ฅ, I accepted and was picked up around 13:30 today by one of her sons, Ade, their home ๐ is a nice large bungalow with a big garden. We had rice ๐ & peas, macaroni cheese ๐ง, chicken ๐ curry, fresh barracuda, egg ๐ฅ plant, broccoli ๐ฅฆ and carrots ๐ฅ and salad ๐ฅ, it was all very nice and enjoyable, the company and conversation was very nice also.
On the way back to my digs I got off the bus a couple of stops early and decided to walk around the Garrison race course, there were plenty of horses hacking out, along with many people walking ๐ถโโ๏ธ, running ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ or just exercising all the way around the track. In front of the grandstand there is a lovely ๐ bronze statue of a famous horse ๐ (Blast of Storm) that won one of the big races on the island ๐ด
