Stuart to Miami

19 February 2010
Jerie
After a muddy start, yes we spent 32 minutes on the hard before we were able to leave Stuart. Well, we were so ready to leave. We had been preparing for days. The only thing we did not check was the tide. We left at neep tide which means that it is even lower than usual tides. There we sat 60 feet from the dock with out "fans" standing at the end of the dock trying to show sympathy instead of gales of laughter. John got in the dighny with a line and with some help from our fans we were able to free from the mud. We then went to the fuel dock, bought 824 gallons of diesel and off we went. img src="Imageshttp://www.sailblogs.com/member//pekingimages/img_0937_scale.jpg class="blogImg
