Nice place, let's stay.....
19 June 2013 | Mont St. Louis
Today was a tad rough. We had a quartering and following sea which is difficult to steer in and very lively. Cara was mildly sea-sick but coped well , Heather was good until she had to go down to change after a boarding sea soaked her, but fresh air and sunshine helped her stabilize.
We shared helm duties with Dave taking the 8:30 to 10:00 tricks, Heather the 10 to noon and Dave again from noon to one. Around 11:30 the dinghy tore out one of its towing d-rings. I jury rigged a tow-line to compensate and we headed into Mont St. Louis for a break, some lunch and to bring the dinghy up on deck. We decided to stay put, the wind was piping up above 20 knots and the small fishing port was very beautiful. So after lunch we rode the bikes around the bay, picked up some local smoked fish delicacies, went to the hardware for a few bits, grabbed a few groceries and then ice cream at the depanuer. Home to the boat for happy hour and then BBQ accompanied by poutine and fried clams from the local cantine, heaven
Took the last glass of red out to the breakwall to watch the sun go down.... Decadent!
