March Keys Trip with a new Twist - Day 3 & 4
Bob, Bill, Rachel & Gracie
07/24/2009, Sanibel to Marco Island to ?

The spotfinder extra service does not send messages unless they press the button I guess. The last cell phone report on Friday afternoon. The gang was provisioning up in Marco Island. They had knot tying class, shark teeth necklace making, and a '4 mile' hike to Publix according to the girls. Klondike bars awaited them so they trudged on. They shipped out of Marco in the afternoon and will spend the night somewhere in the 10,000 islands. Will be in the Keys on Saturday or Sunday.

Here is the latest track as of noon on Saturday, from the 'new' service I don't have the directions for (I hit buttons until this map appeared).

Mini Season on a Sailboat - Day 2
Bob, Bill, Rachel & Gracie
07/23/2009, Sarasota Area to Sanibel

Can't wait to hear the story behind this picture. Shark teeth hunting is part of the story....I believe those pesky neighbors with the BIG YELLOW TRUCK had something to do with it.....

Mini Season on a Sailboat - Day 1
Bob, Bill, Rachel & Gracie
07/22/2009, Tarpon Springs to ?

Camp Billy has morphed into Camp Pisces and Bob has joined the fun! The gang is on a sailing adventure to the Keys and the Dry Tortugas in hunt of the spiny lobster. Will they rape and pillage? Stay tuned for the dueling stories, one from the Captains and the other from the swab/first mate point of view. They will fill in the blanks when they return. Pictures and map update thanks to the 'working women' at home minding the store:(

March Keys Trip with a new Twist - Day 14 & 15
Bill & Bob
04/04/2009, Captiva to Tarpon Springs

4/4/09
Pulled anchor at 7:30AM. Had a great sail along St Pete.
Returned home at 4PM!
So another great adventure is behind us. Looking forward to our Marco Island trip in June!

4/3/09
Pulled anchor from Barnacle Phil's lagoon. Went out N Captiva pass 7AM in 5-6 foot seas; very sloppy. Sailed north to Boca Grand pass and decided to take the inside route (the intercoastal). It would have been a long day at sea if we stayed outside. We sailed\surfed our way through the pass in 5 to 8ft rollers from our stern! 16 mph at one point. Continued north through the ICW. Found this to be a great way to go when the outside is big. This was our bridge schedule.
*11AM Passed Boca Grande bridge. Met 105 MC Sun Cat (Annapolis)
*12PM Went under Sam Tom Adams Bridge on West side
*12:30PM Went under Monasota Bridge (on request)
*1:30PM on demand. Circus Bridge
*2:25PM on demand Venice Hatchet Creek Bridge
*2:50PM Hatchet Creek Bridge
*3:30PM Albey Rd Bridge on demand
*4:15PM Black burn on demand
*5:20PM Stickney
*6:30PM Siesta Key Bridge
*9:15PMPM Stopped on S West side of Holmes Beach Bridge[aka the Anna Maria bridge]
Had a great day motorsailing ,this is a beautiful route!
