Preparing to leave T.I

03 March 2013
Hello my friends and welcome to my blog :-)
My blog entries will start when I reach Athens on 1st April. Meanwhile I am leaving Thursday Island this Friday morning on the 9am ferry. On Saturday the 9th march I commence a 6 day sailing course out of Cairns. Peter Batchelor operates Cairns Boat School out of Half Moon Bay Marina at Yorkeys Knob which is good to see because there have not been a lot of accredited sailing courses to choose from around Cairns. Thanks Peter.
So a big farewell to the Torres Strait and thanks for all the memories I will take with me on my travels. The highs and lows, the thrills and the spills. What an amazing adventure it has been to have lived here for the past 15 years. I will remember it all with much fondness.
It will be a day of great delight to see the Torres Islands appear in the distance on the horizon when I finally make my way back home to Australia.
