Thursday 19th - Saturday 21st August
Transitted via a short canal and lifting bridge into the Mar Menor itself. Found some great anchorages next to firstly the Isla del Baron, then the Isla de Perdiguera. A glittery pathway to a waxing moon shone across the inland sea very purty! Strange being at anchor and yet surrounded by glinting lights (except on the uninhabited islands) Spent the daytimes fixing the capstan, putting our big in- harbour cover up and kayaking around. Very mellow except for the massive disco catamaran in the first anchorage. But it only stayed about an hour luckily.

On Saturday we went to anchor over by La Manga to visit el supermercado. LM not really our cup of dahjeeling but the rollers looked inviting on the Med side so we went for a quick body surf. Then we were late for the bridge so hurried aground..... whoops!
