Homer the Tuna
20 June 2011 | En Route to Greece
Thursday 16th June
Linda and Martyns our name,
fishing for tuna is our game,
today was a goodun ,
cos we caught quite a big'un,
so now its ceviche for breakfast, dinner and tea. (we might even cook it too!) Ooargh!! Ahoy!
Hardly an iambic rhyme... but its been an exciting day cos we caught our first tuna (about 6 kilos). Left Italy at 6am and motored for most of the 60 miles to Greece - except for five minutes with the cruising chute up.
Saw one turtle and one dolphin (which we think was a Rissos Dolphin) and had to keep our eyes out for ships cos the computer with AIS wasn't working. Anchored in a lovely tranquil bay on the Island of Erikoussa, North West of Corfu
