Adventures on Hope

8/7. We arrived in Portland. Big inlet with lots of lobster traps and boat traffic. Sad in some ways....Tom departs from here to go back to California. He was a big help in our travels north from Florida.

So the next couple of days, we ate well with lots of lobster (did I say that Maine lobster is my favorite food!). Portland is a cool town, young people everywhere. Portland Maine reminded me much of Portland Oregon. Similar young people vibe. Great big Hamilton Marine store here, lots of tourists as this is a stop for cruise ships in this part of the world.
