Capt. Rick
Hi Friends,
Happy New Year! Polar Mist is out of the water at the Delta Marine boatyard in Seattle knocking out the winter project list.
We've posted a seven-minute video on our links (under "Boat Info" to the right). Just click on that link or on the link below to view the video.
The video takes us through one day of sailing on the outer coast of Vancouver island last summer. The anchor comes aboard in a beautiful calm anchorage on the north side of the Brooks Peninsula. Outside the anchorage, we motorsail through fog and ocean chop. When the wind fills in at 30 kts (true), the boat takes off downwind and we sail out of the fog into brilliant sunshine. We felt like we'd sailed from the cold and chilly Pacific Northwest to Hawaii! The final leg of the day is a sail up the south side of the Brooks Peninsula before we anchor in Columbia Cove.

We hope to have an update on Polar Mist and the winter project list posted here before too long!
Humbly submitted,
Capt. Rick
