With NW winds at 8 knots, we hoisted our beautiful spinnaker and head SSE for 12 or 13 miles to the unpronounceable bay of Prtljug in the island of Ugljan.
Before visiting Croatia, I highly recommend reading an article that appeared in The Onion around 1995, or you can listen to the CarTalk brothers read it out loud in their radio program. It is absolutely hilarious and so appropriate! (http://www.cartalk.com/content/vowels-bosnia) We, of course, are butchering all the names by adding extra vowely sounds, so Ugljan became Uglijan and Prtljug was Prattlejug.
