Naked on the Beach!

24 October 2013 | About 16 miles south of Majuro.

Buck Naked on the Foredeck October 24, Day 16

So there we were, the both of us deciding that the best way to enjoy "Teak Beach" today was to strip off and go sit at the forward most part of the boat. This is a very wet area mind you, especially when we are sailing close hauled, as we were. But it was hot, the water looked good, and it was wonderful. Way more fun that any water park. As the boat sails along, the bow bounces up and down. This interacts with the movement of the waves, and when the timing is right, wham! Sitting there with feet over the side, you get really wet. This wasn't so much fun when changing a sail, but as a form of recreation on what is most likely our last day of this passage, it was champion. What a wonderful aspect of this activity called "cruising".

We are now setting up our approach into the atoll of Majuro. We are about 20 miles south of the pass between Arno and Majuro. Majuro's pass is on the north side. I am still working, so this will be short. I'll write more tomorrow.

Best to all of you, and thanks for being here with us!

As always our position is shown of the right side of the page - just click on the map.

We will continue to keep you posted.
