First Day

09 May 2015 | At anchor, near Ba, Fiji
Rod
May 9

Had a rolliking first day out. Although we are inside the reef, the wind whipped up quite a fetch from the north andthen north east - exactly where we were going. The result was 22 to 25 knots on the nose for about 2/3 the way here. So, we upped the enging revs, and arrived here at anchor about 2:30. It is beautiful, of course. The wind continues to blow, even though it is 1830. It usually shuts off around 1600. The good is that it is not hot. So then, we are happy, have showered off all of the salt - Yes, of course, it was seriously wet today going into the wind. We say to ourselves "Get used to it. This will be our life for the next, I dunno, six months?" We will see if tomorrow is a bit more relaxed. But!!!! We did have glorious sunshine today! Be Excellent to One Another, Rod and Elisabeth, "Your Rock and Roll Argonauts"
