Welcome to the ITCZ Again

Day 4. Well, what to say. It is getting warmer. Last night we had visual contact with two Taiwanese fish boats. They stayed with us for the better part of the night. Then we had a really good squall. This was one of those that arrives without knocking. It just broke down the door (figuratively speaking) while Elisabeth was on watch, sending her down to scramble me out of bed to help her get the sail reduced. Then we had wind to 34 knots followed by rain. We sat in a heap on the cabin floor and had a good laugh. It's the ITCZ.
Then, this morning, while Elisabeth was sleeping, we had another visitor. This time I was ready and was already reducing sail when Elisabeth came up to help. Nice thing too, because this one brought gusts into the 40 knot range. Did I mention the ITCZ?
But, all in all it was a nice day, the sky was blue for most of it. And here I am, on a beautiful boat, sailing in a beautiful ocean, with my absolute best buddy, confidant, advisor, lover, with me. Life is good. See you tomorrow.
