Day 8. Game change. We had a beautiful equator crossing with a beautiful little picnic. (We too, are a picnic machine of sorts, Thierry!) Elisabeth made deviled eggs, we had a little French saucisson (salami), some Alsace pretzels and a cold Foster's. Oh, and just for entertainment, we have a fleet of 5 Korean fish boats surrounding us. But they all are very polite and have AIS.

But we have no wind, and there is none in the forecast for over a week. A week on anchor is nice, but just bobbing around in the ocean, at the equator, is very hot and rolly, so we have a plan. We are about 350 miles from Tarawa. We have enough fuel to get there, and a very helpful current. So, we can fuel there, and motor to Majuro if need be. It just seems to make sense. We have a forecast of at least some wind today, and the local squalls (yes, I'm afraid it's horizon to horizon)steal the little breeze that there is. They are not big things, they just take the breeze.

They have SolBrew Beer(from the Solomons)in Tarawa. We are going to get one!

Our little party was wonderful. Thanks for joining us. And some of you may feel that you have seen this movie before. I think it was two years ago, we were enroute to Majuro and the wind quit. We diverted to Tarawa.
