Fish Tacos!

Aloha All,
After Dee challenged the swordfish to a sword fight and a little blood was spilt, we decided to hold off on our fishing temporarily. Well, a day or so later a bunch of Kavakava were keeping up with Puanani and chasing down the flying fish that we scared up as we went through the water. It was too much to resist. I was working on sorting out the sheets for the spitfire jib we'd just hoisted in anticipation of increased winds in the next 24-36 hours. I wanted to get it done before darkness because, naturally, challenging weather never waits until after breakfast to unleash itself. It always occurs at 3:00 a.m.
I was reluctant to fish but Kana and Dee agreed that these fish required at least a fleeting attempt to catch one. Dee told us to stay on the foredeck and continue our task while she would deploy a handline off the stern. She announced, "Fishing line is out!" and no sooner than those words left Dee's lips we heard her shout, "Hanapaa! Fish on!" Damn it, I thought.
Dee and Kana soon had a nice sized kavakava tuna in the cockpit and were preparing to clean it as I got back from the foredeck (Like it's a long ways away.) Come on, it's only a 39 foot boat! Anyway, we got it cleaned up, selecting the pieces we would eat that night for dinner and packing the remainder to chill.
As would be our misfortune, mother nature was not on the same time line and thwarted our dinner plans by increasing the winds and seas quite rapidly. We finally got to taste our catch two days later when it was more conducive to cooking a full meal in the galley. Dee conjured up some awesome fish tacos that Kana and I woofed down as quickly as they could be made. Life is goo once again!
Everyone take care and stay well. All my love. V/r logan
