Aloha All,
Small seas (about 2 meters) but confused. Makes for a lumpy ride. Because we are running downwind we are basically getting hit from all directions. Can't set anything down for a second. What ever it is you let go of will get away from you like a scared cockroach. For the record, there are no bugs aboard Puanani.
Wind picked up early this morning allowing us to sail rather than using the motor. A welcome change as we put over 32 hours on the engine since departing. Considering our distance covered, 344 Nautical miles, that's a bit more fuel consumed than we'd like.
Everyone took salt water showers on the swim step. That first bucket was quite shocking but after that it wasn't so bad. Cold, but not freezing cold. Actually, the air temperature seemed colder than the water. At least we're clean and everyone smells pretty, but not too pretty.
Crossed the date line yesterday so reliving it today. But wait! If you call right now we'll throw in an extra day free! All you pay is shipping and handling.
Take care and stay well. All our love
