Aloha All,

We sailed back to the Papeete yesterday in anticipation of crew changes. Rob has a flight out on the same Hawaiian Airlines aircraft that Blossom arrives on tomorrow.

At least I'll get to eat some good food for a change. My cooking sucks and Rob's is only slightly better than mine. Actually that's not true. Rob is pretty good. Everything he's cooked was good. Last night's curry dish was excellent! It almost offsets his snoring. Almost.

Moorea was awesome! Really clean and kind "Country" looking. Kind of like Oahu's North Shore back in the 1970s. The hotels that are there maintain a real low profile so they don't ruin the rural feel of the island. The local population is just under 20,000. Not sure what the visitor count adds to that but it must be somewhere close to the number of visitors that drive out to the North Shore on any given day (excluding surf contest season).

Naturally the wind and seas encountered on the sail back from Moorea to Tahiti matched the forcast perfectly. NOT! Wind was on the nose all the way back. Built to a solid 20 knots right out of the Opunohu Bay Channel. Then increased to sustained mid 20s with occasional gusts to 30 in the channel between the islands. Not unlike our Kaiwi (Molokai) Channel.

I'm going to rename Puanani to "WxGirl" because it seems we are always sailing head to wind. I better check with Blossom on that first.

Everyone take care and stay well. All our love.
