Hello again! This'll have to be quick because I'm running low on battery juice and I left the cord back on Puff. We departed Little River Inlet, south of Wrightsville Beach, NC on 1/3/07 after a rowdy New Year's Eve celebration. We went offshore and arrived in Fernandina Beach a few days later. On the way, we discovered our prop was loose on the shaft and we had to run the engine the whole time to keep it in place. More on that when I have more time. We've been motorsailing down the ditch since Fernandina and we're anchored out in Indian Harbor Beach, FL now. We ran into some old friends Kevin and Cindy Welsh down here and were able to visit a little with them, which has been fun. This area is great for errands, you can walk almost anywhere. I had to go to a vet for some medicine for Jack the cat and there is a great one just a few blocks away, ALOHA ANIMAL CLINIC was very helpful. There are some great parks to walk with Charlie with a 1/2 mile. There are grocery stores, a liquor store, a pet store, a dentist, several restaurants, and a coffee shop with Wi Fi (East Coast Coffee) right across the street. There is a 24 hour laundry ($2 to wash/$1 to dry) within two blocks, and a great fruit and vegetable stand across the street from it! There are also a couple auto parts stores within a block. There are several marinas nearby for fuel and water. There are also lots of boatyards. People are friendly and there's plenty of grass to walk Charlie. It seems like a really nice place. I'm going to update again hopefully tomorrow, I have a lot more to say. Take care!
