Living on the boat again has been fantastic. Today was a beautiful day. Brian and I went fishing this morning, it was awesome. The sky was blue and shiney, the air was warm, and the breeze was light. The bluefish were boiling the surface of the ocean left and right. Pelicans and seagulls were having a feeding frenzy, a large pod of dolphins even made an appearance. We pulled in countless fish, but only kept the 7 largest. We're going to have a fish fry tonight! A gull got tangled in my line just as a blue hit it, so B and I had to work hard not to hurt the bird while we untangled it, it took awhile and the fish was still on the line by the time we got done. The gull flew away unharmed, thank god. The water was crystal clear and there were scores of ball jellies everywhere. It was super clear yesterday also, and we went to Masonboro Island and walked along the top of the jetty. We could see two small sharks swimming along the jetty and we followed them for quite awhile. They were beautiful. Good stuff.

Sooooo, Brian and I are living aboard Puff in Wrightsville Beach, NC. We pulled into here from the Bahamas in early July of this year intending to haul Puff out for about a year and rent a house while we regroup and make some money. Okay, that wasn't even four months ago and we've splashed Puff and ran as fast as we could from land life. What can we say? To us, everything is better on a boat. Food tastes better, the bed is more comfortable, the lullaby of the water lapping the hull is irreplacable, the days are more beautiful, the air is sweeter, need I go on?

Sooooo,
Brian and I are considering running a crewed charter business aboard a nice, roomy catamaran. It's just an idea right now, but I'd love some feedback from whoever reads this. We would offer seven day all inclusive liveaboard sailing charters aboard a large 3 - 4 cabin catamaran. We could accomodate 1 - 2 couples or a family of up to 5. The guests would share 2 or three cabins with full size double/queen beds and their own head (toilet/shower). The cruises would be in the Bahamas and include all food and drink aboard the boat, snorkeling, kayaks, and a lot of fun. Brian is a US Coast Guard licensed captain and I am an accomplished Louisiana cook, plus we can guarantee good fishing, snorkeling, and spearfishing. So, what do you think?
