Preparing to go

OK so the previous post wasn't the quite the last before heading out. Lists, rewritten lists and trial packing. 5 sleeps to go now before flying, me thinks it's time to call Easy Jet and arrange for excess baggage. Went to a talk at the yacht club to hear from a chap that went last year (Kit) and wasn't put off, thank goodness. Nor was Karen put off me going.

One of our crew is off on the ARC

Our first post which is not about our own boat. She is coming out of the water any day now to look bare (no masts or rigging) for the winter at Darthaven quay. This post is about something altogether more exciting; Not long now, Gordon is going to head off to be crew on 'Blew Beyond' sailing from Gran Canaria to St Lucia. 2700 nautical miles of sea, sun and ... Who knows yet. Flying out on November the 18th, couple of days to get settled then setting sail on the 22nd, arriving St Lucia on or around the 10th of December. Next post will be for real in Gran Canaria. In the meantime...preparation time,
